Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

certainly like your website but you have to check
the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them
are rife with spelling problems and I in finding it very bothersome
to inform the truth nevertheless I'll surely come back again.

No Sir, I can honestly say I will ALWAYS be within a half inch of correct when it comes to guessing a woman's figure. This is a scientific secret and I needed a Brainchild such as AleeD to lead me in the right direction.

Both offensive and condescending at the same time...Have any of you seen the film "Confederate States of America"...It is a pseudo-documentary about what life would be like if the South had won the civil war. All of the "commercials" in it were for actual products that were sold in the US at one time of another. Interesting stuff...

Good afternoon! Just got back from the dentist for the temporary crown fitting. Turns out that what I thought was a broken tooth was actually a broken crown, installed 5 years ago. The dentist was so surprised that I managed to break a crown that he is recommending a mouth guard for sleeping, I must be grinding my teeth terribly. Oh joy.

    April 5, 2012 at 12:10 pm |
    • RichardHead@Mary Shannon

The Queen has NO crown, snores and drools all over the Lounge recliner. You'll be OK.

Good morning! Doing an early Seder tonight so that boy can go to opening game tomorrow night. Couscous is chilling in the fridge, the ladyfingers are soaking in the freezer, and the matza is ready to be hidden!

as awesome as Kiss Cam would be...he is staying over in B-more and I'm volunteering downtown on Saturday AM so that won't work. That and I'm not a baseball fan, in fact one wouldn't be too far from the truth if they said I loathed baseball....

Now THERE'S something you should write & publish: The Wedding Dress Diet. You'd make millions!

          April 5, 2012 at 9:24 am |

The shakes have 1,000 calories?!?!?! I don't even watch calories and thats a lot in one item.

          April 5, 2012 at 9:27 am |
        • JainaJade@SirB

Check out the stats sometimes for Coldstone Shakes...even the Like it Size ones are over 1k! Those are twice a year treats, and even then I feel guilty!

          April 5, 2012 at 9:34 am |
        • JainaJade@AleeD

true that! some people are INSANE when it comes to dieting. Mine is more I was x-size at my final fitting so I will be x-size the day of my wedding because I'm not paying another $400 to get my dress altered!!! The key so far: avoid ice cream...needless to say Sweet Frog and I have an upcoming date :-)

          April 5, 2012 at 10:12 am |
        • Sir Biddle@JJ

You're likely a size 2 and will have no problem fitting into your dress. Either way you will look beautiful and don't stress about it.

          April 5, 2012 at 10:22 am |
        • JainaJade@SirB

the issue is I got my final fitting the same week as the root canal so I was on a liquid diet and thus a bit lighter than my body would prefer to be...

          April 5, 2012 at 11:38 am |
        • JainaJade@SirB

Otherwise I tend to not care as long as things fit :-) I'm also worried about the sisters escaping but that's what double sided tape is for :-D

          April 5, 2012 at 11:39 am |
        • AleeD®@JJ

"Sister's escaping" would certainly make for an interesting wardrobe malfunction. Experiment with the tape, getting closer and closer to your delicate areas before you use it on your actual wedding day. That's not an area you want to have skin removed on for your wedding nite.

          April 5, 2012 at 12:53 pm |
        • JainaJade@AleeD

I don't think the tape will have to go too close to more sensitivie sections, but I'm testing it tonight and again on Sunday...and will probably be using it for my bachelorette party. I'll have a second level of protection at the wedding but since I'm top heavy I want to do what I can to avoid a free show!

          April 5, 2012 at 1:01 pm |
        • AleeD®@JJ

I have to ask: for your bachelorette party? Are you playing Sticky Twister with shots of Patrón?

Or are we still talking about this as a wardrobe solution? :D

          April 5, 2012 at 1:09 pm |
        • JainaJade@AleeD

I was thinking wardrobe...my friends are picking something out for me and I can only imagine how little material will be involved.
But what in the heck is Sticky Twister???

          April 5, 2012 at 1:16 pm |
        • AleeD®@JJ

Cover yourself in dbl-sided tape and play Twister as normal. You stick to the other person in fascinating ways and it's great resistance training when you're trying to separate yourselves. It works with velcro, too. Except it's louder and there's less resistance.

          April 5, 2012 at 1:28 pm |
        • JainaJade@AleeD

OMGoodness...that might even top the naked twister of my college years and go in to the same category as 53x Ed Jenga! tho with the amount of "sisters" and sisters at my bachelorette party twister might be considered a WMD

SB, I wonder if there's a saint of bresses to whom you could pay homage? St. Tata? Jolly old St. Nippelous?

I know the patron saint of bras is the German St. Holdzemfromphloppen.

          April 5, 2012 at 3:10 pm |

Random fact of the Day. In all seriousness. St Agatha of Sicily is the patron saint of breasts. Don't believe me, google it.

          April 5, 2012 at 3:46 pm |
        • AleeD@Sir Bid

I did. She's also the patron saint of breast cancer victims and I couldn't manage to pull up anything funny about that. Soooo I opted for a different fork in the road of bressesses. :)

          April 5, 2012 at 3:53 pm |

St. Brigid is the saint for milkmaids, so that has to be worth it weight in.....milk.

Good Morning Truth & everyone! Rained like a b_tch last nite and I didn't sleep worth beans. At least the grass was nice & squishy this morning.

Rich, when you get what you like from the white-tie boy, would you pour a couple of swallows in my cup? I've always wanted to try French pressed.

OK Kidz,You caught me. This shot was taken on the patio at WD's World Famous Doggie Salon. I splurge on her every 5 weeks and figure while she's getting pampered, so should I. :)) BTW–What's up with the waiters tie in the coffee cup?
